Quite a drop in the numbers! Any reason why (bad date? bad weather?)?

Susan, I ran this race in 2013, announced it in 2014 and 2016 and my friends at Run-Far provided race production services (which brought me to the table in '14 and '16) through last year. First year was hot. Second year was more tolerable. They moved the date because they were either expecting their JCAHO accreditation survey and/or the implementation of ICD-10 in 10/1/15. I just think it is one more indication that while the pie of runners is getting smaller that the number of producers are still trying to get in and get a slice and/or the producer will add a race or a distance to try to make up for falling numbers. It is/was a pretty good race. I think it is primarily market saturation.

Thanks for the explanation, Jon. Makes me wonder what the future holds for this race.
