Texas 10K's with 1,000-Plus Finishers - 2017

In 2016, there were 13 ten-kilometer races in Texas that had more than 1,000 finishers.

Last year, that number dwindled to just nine.

And of those nine, only three - the Cap10K, the All-America City 10K and the Houston Half 10K - increased in their number of finishers in 2017.

The complete list of 1,000 or more finishers are here:

 17,126 - Austin American Statesman Cap10K, Austin, April 23 (7,841 men and 9,285 women)*
  3,433 - ConocoPhillips Rodeo Run 10K, Houston, March 4*

Last year's 7th largest 10K in the state, the Tour Des Fluers 10K in Dallas, changed to a quarter marathon as their number of finishers fell from 1,899 in 2016 to 1,293 last year.

The Katy YMCA Turkey Dash 10K, the Trinity River Levee Run 10K and Green 6.2 were three of the 13 that fell to under 1,000 finishers last year.

Those races with 750-999 finishers are listed here:
