Went to the track - where I enjoy getting a chance to visit and catch up with Volte's Bill Dwyer - and got another four miles in.
Well, being in lane 5 the entire way really made it 4.244 miles.
Mile 1 - 4:11.77, 4:06.15, 4:06.56, 4:04.57 = 16:29.05 (15:32)
Mile 2 - 4:03.32, 4:04:39, 4:03.42, 4:00.48 = 16:11.60 (15:16)
Mile 3 - 4:03.49, 4:04.43, 4:05.37, 4:04.62 = 16:17.91 (15:22)
Mile 4 - 4:04.53, 4:05.74, 4:06.43, 4:08.61 = 16:25.31 (15:28)
4.244 miles = 1:05:23.87 (15:25 pace)
I really haven't tried running too much because of my left knee.
Sure, walking takes a little longer and doesn't burn as much, but I enjoy just doing something.
Last Thursday night, I got in a little more than five and a quarter on the Spring Creek Greenway Trail. May head back out there tonight.
I was able to listen to two complete Sports Spectrum podcasts while doing so.
Saturday, I'll be out at Ironman Texas and Sunday will be at Cypress 10.
