HOUSTON, April 25 -- The second annual Houston marathon will be the feature event of the Southern A.A.U. track and field championships at Rice Field, May 21 and 22, according to Jack Rafferty, A.A.U. commissioner of the Houston district. The marathon, a 10-mile race, will be run on Saturday, May 22.
King Ransom, Houston, winner of the marathon last year, and Bert Halla, Sam Houston High School star, will compete. From New Orleans will come the Southern A.A.U. champion, Wade, winner of the title last season.
