Since 2005, this blog has - at times - served as one of the leading sources for the discussion of Houston-area (and Texas as well) road racing. Focus and attention will be given to Houston-area runners, specifically HARRA members, that compete in outside-of-the-area events as well as those who do interesting things that aren't captured in the various media outlets, such as Texas Runner and Triathlete.

Seven Schools Have Won Four or More Boys Individual XC UIL State Titles
Just seven schools have had four or more boys individual wins at the UIL State cross country meets since the championship's inception in 1972.
Conroe McCullough/The Woodlands (8 - 7 different runners)
Humble Kingwood (5 - 4 different runners)
Sundown (5 - 3 different runners)
Argyle (4 - 4 different runners)
Falfurrias (4 - 3 different runners)
Crystal City and Friendswood (4 - 2 different runners)
There have been 215 outright champions and one declared co-championship (1974 A).
And, in fact, there have been 140 different schools represented among those 216 state championship races.
